A century of craftsmanship.  A lifetime of quality.
Our love affair with crafting wood began all the way back in 1908.Today our aim is to produce beautiful cabinetry with integrity and personal attention, the way a hundred-year-old company should.  At Yorktowne, your cabinetry is made-to-order, one kitchen at a time, for a warm and inviting design that directly reflects your personal tastes and lifestyle. Our dedication to your Yorktowne retailer ensures satisfaction every step of the way.  A heritage of service built on a century of craftmanship – that’s the Yorktowne difference.

Facilities and Production.  Green lumber to finished cabinetry.
Yorktowne is a fully integrated manufacturer of fine cabinetry. This means we start with green lumber and take it through to the finished product.  We control all phases of the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of finely crafted, quality cabinets every step of the way.

The process begins in our Dimension Mill in Mifflinburg, PA.  At that location, green lumber with a moisture content of 80% is placed in a pre-dryer and kiln to be dried to the desired moisture content of 6%. The lumber goes through a series of rough dimensioning processes — then proceeds to the molders, which cut random widths and lengths down to finer sizes.  Finally, all face frames, doors and drawer components are produced with state-of-the-art woodworking machinery.

Our plant in Red Lion, PA and our new plant in Danville, VA take over and concentrate on fine milling, assembly and finish operations. After all finishing processes are completed, the cabinets are carefully assembled, reviewed for quality assurance, cartoned and shipped.
